Star Crossed lovers - Words by William Shakespeare, music by Karma Bonita
|
Featuring Zoe Maffham who we met in Sri Lanka and Jamila Gioppo from Luino, Italy. Zoe did the Voice-Over in Luino, where we were staying, she came to visit us one beautiful summer. Jamila, daughter of a very good friend, recorded the La' La' La's herself, reciting Poems she had written. Jamila was 11 years old. We fell in love with her beautiful 'Altar-like voice, so sweet, such a great kid. Star Crossed Lover's is dedicated to you both! Thanx 4 sharing.
Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life; Whole misadventured piteous overthrows Doth their death bury their parents' strife. The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love, And the continuance of their parents' rage, Which, but their children's end, nought could remove, Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage. |
